At the 51st European House – Ambrosetti Forum in Cernobbio, Cristiano Rufini, Chairman of Olidata S.p.A., contributed to the discussion on digital sovereignty, emphasising how cybersecurity and geopolitics are now closely linked and represent a key challenge for the future of the country.
During his speech, Rufini highlighted how the international context requires deep reflection and new defence strategies:
‘The scope of cyberwarfare is increasingly active and present. We must focus on technological and scientific innovation, build solid partnerships between institutions, businesses and finance, and make targeted investments to protect our country’s crown jewels.’
Italy is progressively strengthening its path towards digital sovereignty, with the aim of ensuring technological independence, data protection and strategic resilience.
