On 5 June, Olidata participated in the event ‘Data & AI Superpower: innovative perspectives from the world of AI’, organised by TOGETHER LLG in collaboration with Cloudera, in the splendid setting of Terrazza Caffarelli in Rome.
The event provided an opportunity for experts, companies and innovators to explore the potential of digital transformation driven by Artificial Intelligence and data management.
Among the speakers was Dario Evola, Chief Technology Officer at Olidata, who gave a speech entitled:
‘The importance of data management in the age of AI’
In his speech, Evola focused on a topic that is often overlooked but fundamental to the success of any AI initiative: the quality, reliability and traceability of data. Without a solid data management strategy, he stressed, even the most advanced algorithm risks returning misleading results.
‘Today, we can no longer talk about AI without talking about data. And not just what data, but above all how we process it.’
Evola highlighted how proper data governance and data lineage are key elements in ensuring transparency, regulatory compliance and trust in automated decision-making processes. He also shared a concrete case study in which Olidata supported a public body in structuring and tracking large amounts of heterogeneous data, finally making it accessible and ready for advanced applications.
Joining him on stage was Fabio Pascali, Regional Vice President Italy at Cloudera, to explore the prospects and challenges associated with data-driven technological evolution.
